One of my favorite topics to write about here on the blog is urbanism and transportation. In particular, I’m intrigued by the emerging bike cultures in U.S. cities, which I’ve covered here and here.
New York has made a big push to make the city more bike-friendly. By creating buffered bike lanes and cool bike-related applications, cycling is becoming an attractive way to get around the city. Soon, New York will be rolling out its bike-share program and the DOT needs your help.
Use the Interactive Map to Suggest a Bike-Share Location
The DOT wants your feedback to determine where the bike-share locations will be located. You can use this interactive map which allows you to suggest locations and explain why bike-share ought to go there. Check out the New York City Bike Share FAQ for more information.
Where would you like to see a bike-share station?
